Tilcara to Iguazu, a massive day!!

So we knew it was going to be a. If day to get from Tilcara to Iguazu, originally our flight was direct from Salta but it had been changed to go via Buenos Aires, so this meant one extra flight, it was also changed to 3:15pm, leaving us less time to get from Tilcara to Salta to make the plane!

This meant an early start for us, up at 5:00 to catch a 6:40 bus to Juy Juy where we would catch another bus to Salta, we had to do this as there was no direct bus that would get us to Salta in time!

The bus arrived on time in Tilcara, so off to a good start. It was a local bus, packed to the rafters with school kids until the first stop, then they all got off leaving us room to get a seat.

We lost a bit of time in the way, but still got in to Juy Juy with time to buy a ticket and some food before the 9am bus to Salta.

Again, the next bus arrived on time and off we went to Salta, arriving about 20 mins late. This gave us loads of time to go for a coffee and then grab a taxi to the airport.

We arrived at the airport with 1:45mins to spare, perfect timing!

Our flight pretty much also left on time and we were in our way to Buenos Aires! The flight was decent, not much food, nuts and a muesli bar! We arrived on time and then had just over 2 hrs until our next flight.

We were going to grab a coffee and sat down to do so, but it was super expensive, typical airport! So we needed up going to a small mini mart and buying a drink, then sitting to use free wifi.

It was when we got up we realized Pete had left his jacket at the coffee shop, we headed back, but it was nowhere to be seen, the staff were not much help and we had to come to terms with its loss! It was no ordinary jacket, it was old faithful, the jacket was a travel jacket and shared many trips with us! Lucky there was nothing in the pockets!!!

Off we went to Iguazu on our next flight, remembering old faithful, looking at pics!

We arrived on time into Iguazu after what was a very bumpy flight, we both were glad to land!! The plane had been full of school kids who screamed in take off and spewed due to the turbulence! My dream flight! Lol

We decided on a taxi to the hotel and arrived around 11pm. It was a successful day, we made it and everything worked out apart from losing old faithful!

We went out for pizza and a 7up, alcohol free day today!!
