First full day in Buenos Aires

We slept really well despite our hotel being right in the city centre, traffic noise was minimal, so we woke feeling pretty refreshed.

Our room included breakfast which was served downstairs, buffet style and it had a pretty good selection.

After breakfast we decided to take a bit of a walk about to see some sights and head to the San Telmo area, a bit of a bohemian area of BA.

We took in a lot of the sights first including the theatre and also the obelisk that sits in the middle of the main wide boulevard.

Our walk to San Telmo was through a market, loads of people, typical market wares, mostly like what you'd find in markets anywhere.

San Telmo had a pretty good vibe though and we stopped for a few beers in a really nice bar.

For lunch we grabbed a sausage at a BBQ that was being cooked up in a small corner car park, they had a live band and we enjoyed sitting eating our sausages listening to the music with tourists and locals.

We had planned in visiting the Boca area as well but it was a bit of a long walk so decided to take a walk by the river instead which was closer.

The river side has been renovated and modernized, it felt a lot like Melbourne. We stopped for a few more beers and ended up spending a fair bit of time there watching the world go by and even being entertained by a couple performing the Tango

It was late evening before we ended up heading back to the hotel.

We had such a great day, it was such a good vibe and both really enjoyed ourselves!!
