Goodbye Córdoba, Hello Catamarca

Another early morning for us with a 7:15 bus to catch to Catamarca. We'd had a pretty light sleep as Córdoba is a manic city, seriously I'm not sure these people ever sleep!

We got to the station with time to spare, little did we know at that time that we had even more time than we thought!

We bought supplies for the bus and proceeded to wait until 7:15, which came and went! Of course panic ensued with me checking the whole platform making sure we had not missed our bus, thankfully another lady worked out what I was doing and indicates she was waiting for the same bus.

Someone ended up finding out it would not arrive until 9am! Man, could have stayed in bed!!

Alas, at least it was still coming!

Once it did arrive we took off and slowly went through a few back streets, until all
of a sudden it seemed the bus could not go up a hill, it was like it was stuck or the gears were not working! We started to move backward, Pete and I were convinced it was broken down, but as we reversed back, we soon realised a motor bike rider was wedged under the bus!! They promptly got up, dusted themselves off and we both took off. No names or numbers exchanged, off we went! Crazy!!!

Anyway, the rest of the trip went by pretty quick, roughly 7 hours and we arrived in Catamarca. The country side was beautiful, rolling hills!! I spent my time listening to Brady Threlfalls podcast, Tell me your tales, which I really enjoyed!!

One in Catamarca we were struck by how hot it was! Man, it was boiling! We walked from the station with our packs, picked up the key for the apartment and checked in.

As we had an apartment we decided a night in was a good idea, so after seeing some of the main sights around town - more churches and a very pretty town square, we headed to the supermarket and picked up some salad and juice, no beer, alcohol free day for us!!

Back at the room we had dinner and enjoyed watching live a football game between Argentina and Chile!

Early night again as once more we have an early bus tomorrow to Tucuman.

We have been having some really great weather still but daily savings will finish next Sunday so that is a bit sad. Keep on blogging I may not comment much but I am definitely reading them and enjoying them. I also finally worked out Petes instagram name. Lol. Love to you both and keep safe
