Day 2 Córdoba..... laundry and sight seeing

So as every traveler knows, there comes a time where you just have to wash some clothes! Try as you might, putting it off is not an option!

Luckily in Córdoba they have loads of laundromats and within walking distance from the hotel, we decided we would pay extra to have our laundry done for us, freeing the day up to see the sights.

So that we did, we dropped off the laundry and in broken Spanish agreed to come back at 6 to pick it up.

We spent the rest of the day perusing the sights of Córdoba. It is a lovely city, very busy, filled with students and with a really great vibe.

We saw a few churches and monasteries, very ornate. We also ventured to the main square which was a hive of activity with people selling their wares on the street corners.

Pete bought himself a local football top, one he would struggle to buy online and at a decent price.

We walked a lot through out the day, stopping to take photos. By mid after noon we decided to stop for lunch, a local cafe had a good deal, salad, drink and ice cream for less than $10, bargain!!

At 6pm it was time to pick up the laundry, all good, no dramas and nice clean clothes ready to be worn again!

As we had a late lunch, we decided to head out for beers and see how we felt later on, a few beers later, we decided on more empanadas to have with our beer!!

After a big day, it was time to call it quits and head back to the room. In Córdoba people party quite late, but for us, old habits die hard and we are tucked up in bed at 10.30pm!

But we have got a big day ahead of us tomorrow! I'm going to head out for a run and then we are off for a day trip to the birthplace of Che Guevara!! Should be a good day!

Ciao folks!!
