Our wine tour pick up was for 9am, so we were up early to have breakfast.
We decided to go for the group tour, so this meant picking up others and a drive round Mendoza before heading to our first winery. It was a spectacularly sunny day, so we knew we were in for a treat!!
Most other people were Spanish speaking but thankfully there was one American couple who were also on the tour. At the first winery we had a translator to tell us all about the process of making the wine.
The views from the first winery were beautiful, the Andes in the background and we tried some lovely wines including a Chardonnay and of course a Malbec. This winery was one of the biggest in the region.
The second winery was more boutique and we enjoyed their wines a lot more, some beautiful reds and a Sauvignon blanc.
From there it was a further drive to the last winery where we ate lunch and also saw some olive oil production. Lunch was good, lasagna and some bruschetta. We had expected steak, but I think that is more likely if you do a solo wine tour!
We got back to the hotel around 6:30 feeling in pretty good shape, but tired after a long day.
We headed back to the local bars for the evening, sitting outside on a gorgeous evening with a few beers and empanadas was a great way to end a fab day.

Looks amazing, im avoiding too much Facebook so not to see too much of your holiday and i can read the blog with my morning coffee.
